Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do your courses work?
Our courses adhere to a one week professional development structure. Each course takes place over five days. On Days 1, 2, 4, and 5 learners engage video modules, practical readings, and participate in either a chat room or discussion board. On Day 3, learners participate in a live virtual session with course instructors.
What do I have to do to complete the program?
To complete the program learners must watch all video modules and participate in the chat rooms/discussions every day. In addition, learners must also attend the virtual live session. Program faculty closely monitor student participation.
Can I earn credits for participation?
At this current time, all CORA programs are offered as CEU professional development training. All participants receive a certificate of completion which acknowledge the total hours completed. Each program is designed to take 2-3 hours per week.
Are there any prerequisites for applying to CORA programs?
Programs are available to all learners who are interested in advancing success outcomes for students who have been historically underrepresented and underserved in education. Our programs are designed primarily for community college educators as well as other educational professionals who may work with ‘non-traditional’ student populations.
